Wellert Elected President of Salem Contractors Exchange
Dan Wellert, of White Oak Construction (WOC) has been elected president of the Salem Contractors Exchange (SCE). Wellert joined WOC in 2010 and serves as a project manager and estimator. The SCE is a not-for-profit membership organization that provides plans and specs for commercial construction projects throughout the entire state of Oregon and Southern Washington.
Says Wellert, “I am very pleased to have been elected to lead this great group. We have a lot of plans for the upcoming year. Right now we’re preparing to assist the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) with Willamette Valley Construction Career Days May 6. The more we can share about our career and teach others, the better and stronger our industry will be in our region.”
WOC is located in Salem and recently opened a second office in Bend, Ore. They specialize in commercial construction including: design/build, accelerated schedules and environmentally sustainable construction projects. Wellert is also a member of American Concrete Institute, American Society for Healthcare Engineering, SEDCOR, EDCO, Bend Chamber of Commerce and the Salem Chamber of Commerce.

For 60 years the Exchange has provided services to commercial contractors and established relationships with architects, engineers, city, county, state offices, federal agencies, and general contractors to bring their plans into a central location.
